Our mission is to build an inclusive playground in Kingwood, WV that is inspiring and truly accessible to individuals of all ages and abilities!
This playground is being created in memory of Wade Mazza. Wade had a combination of medical conditions and used a wheelchair to move throughout the world.
For children like Wade access to a playground is often limited to sitting on the sidelines and watching their friends and siblings play. This experience is also quite common for our wounded warriors who have acquired spinal cord injuries and loss of limbs while serving our county and now use a mobility device to navigate the world.
Their use of these mobility devices often limit their access to playgrounds impacting their ability to play with their children. This playground will “enable” all to play, whether they are runners, walkers, or wheelers. It is designed to be the largest, most inclusive playground in the state of West Virginia and will be a place where individuals of all ages and abilities will be welcomed to play together.
